Slowing Down to Find Momentum

As the weather is getting cozier and the sun is going down earlier, you might experience a shift in mood. Maybe you find it harder to be energized, sleep longer and find yourself staying home more often than you usually would.

You might even be affected by seasonal depression and find it hard to be productive and keep your vibes up.

As a business owner, you might have been feeling uninspired lately, or like you were losing momentum. Don’t worry darling! It is so normal to feel slightly out of touch with your vision and more tired from time to time.

But it is important to take actions that will leave us feeling lighter, happier and ready to go at our dreams and show up for our business for the last few months of the year.

Are you ready to bring your vibes up and get your motivation flowing in? Here are 3 things to help you make your change now!

We get so caught up in the 1000000 things we have to do that we sometimes forget to Konmari our business. Make a list of all the things you do for your business and ask yourself the following questions:

1. Do I enjoy doing all of this?

2. Does it bring me the most income/impact for the time I spend on it?

3. What could I stop doing and take off my list that would bring me the most peace?

As you feel less productive, it is so important to maximize how you spend your time and actually invest more time on the items that will benefit you the most.

Does managing the social media and the emails and engaging with communities and groups and livestreams actually bring you joy? I recently came to the conclusion that I didn’t enjoy having a Facebook Group and realized that I wasn’t impacting people the way I wanted on that platform. Instead of having it because I should, I questioned how I felt about it and realized that I would feel lighter without it.

The 80/20 rule can be super helpful!

This is where simplicity comes in; where do you want to invest your precious time?

When the inspiration is low, we tend to start neglecting the other parts of our lives; starting with oureslves. We start to lose our sense of worth and wonder if we are doing enough or if we are where we should be. So it’s time to prioritize yourself and allow yourself to feel magical again.

Though we know that beauty does come from the inside, taking care of our outer shell can help start reparing what’s inside.

  • Wash your hair & body to feel fresh even if you stay home
  • Put makeup on or your favourite face oil even if you stay home
  • Wear your favourite clothes and underwear even if you stay home

Look, we all know that behind the curtains it’s easy to embrace our ugliest old pyjamas and allow our hair to go greasy for an extra day if we don’t go out.

But how does it really make you feel? Comfy, sluggish, meh.

Make it a number one priority to show up for yourself

Treat yourself with care like if you were going to a gala every day, even if no other soul will see you. And contrary to what you might think, this is not about giving in to society’s beauty standards. It’s about doing it for yourself and giving yourself an extra 20 minutes in the day where you put yourself first.

This extra dose of love will lead you far and make you feel capable, empowered, confident

Now that you’re looking fresh, it’s time to get your mind to catch up. Feed your inner shell by:

  • Read a motivating book like Girl Wash Your Face
  • Allow yourself to do 10 minutes of meditation a day
  • Turn the light off in the evening, close your phone and go take a walk or take a bath to wind down and let your mind finds peace
  • Talk to your friends and other female bosses about how you feel and motivate yourself to go, grab a coffee date
  • Create a sacred heaven at home and make sure the environment is clean, so your head is clearer
